Using the Accounting App

The primary purpose of the accounting system is the tracking of cash receipts, revenue, and accounts receivable. For help understanding the transaction cycle in Impexium, see the help topic, Understanding the Transaction Cycle.

To access accounting options, click the Accounting App in the app icon menu, or expand the Accounting option in the left navigation bar.

The Accounting App features visible to you may vary based on your user account settings. For more information on your user account settings, please speak with your organization's Site Administrator.

Features of the Accounting App include:

  • Orders: Search for orders, including open orders.
  • Invoices: Search for invoices.
  • Payments: Locate payment records.
  • Credits: Access existing credits and create credits.
  • Payment Wizard: The Payment Wizard allows staff to process multiple payments for a customer at one time.
  • Refunds: Search for refunded credits.
  • Batches: Create, manage, and post batches.
  • Lockbox Import: Clients with lockbox functionality enabled can access previous and create new imports here.
  • Reports: Accounting-related reports are located under this feature, including "Invoices with Balance Due," "Accounting Ledger by Invoice," "AR Aging," and more.
  • Payment Import: Import a list of payments to automatically apply to orders and invoices with balance due.
  • Queries: Create and run accounting queries.
  • Charts: Review dashboards charts on accounting information and activity.
  • Setup: The Setup feature contains core setups for accounting, including the Business Unit, accounts, fiscal year, and credit card merchant setup.
